Forty Michigan Army National Guard Soldiers, from the Pontiac-based, 1775th Military Police Company landed in Lithuania May 31 to conduct a large-scale multinational training exercise with foreign allies.

“It was my first time on a military plane,” said Pfc. Jorge Landeros, a military policeman, 1st platoon, 1775th MP Co. “It felt good to get off after eight hours and see a different part of the world. I’m excited to continue the field exercise with our foreign allies.”

While in Klaipeda, Soldiers will be conducting a series of tasks to include port security, unloading military vehicles from large ships, and escorting convoys to the allied borders.

This is the first stop of many for the Soldiers of the MIARNG 1775th MP Co. for Operation Warrior East.
