CSM Hopkins has held a multitude of additional leadership positions throughout his military career including Battalion Command Sergeant Major (507 EN BN), G3 Sergeant Major (JFHQ), G3 Quota Source Manager (JFHQ), HHC AGR Readiness NCO (1-125 IN BN), Battalion Training NCO (1-125 IN BN), Platoon Sergeant (B/1-125 IN BN), Squad Leader, (D/125 IN BN) Team Leader (D/125 IN BN), Rifleman (D/125 IN BN), Senior Anti-Tank Gustaf Gunner (B/1-75 Ranger Regiment), and Anti-Tank Assistant Gunner (B/1-75 Ranger Regiment).

CSM Hopkins has deployments to Gerald R. Ford Airport, Grand Rapids, MI in support of the nation’s response to the September 11, 2001 attack, Iraq (2008) in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, and Afghanistan (2012) in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.

He is a graduate of Thornapple Kellogg High School, Middleville, Michigan. CSM Hopkins’ military education consists of the United States Army Sergeant Major Academy, Advanced Non-Commissioned Officer Course, Basic Non-Commissioned Officer Course, Primary Leadership Development Course, F3EAD Targeting Course, Protective Security Detail Course, CREW Specialist Course, Winter Warfare Course, JAVELIN Course, 75th Ranger Regiment Demolitions Course, 75th Ranger Regiment Range Indoctrination Process, Airborne School.

CSM Hopkins is married to his wife of 25 years, Teresa Hopkins. They have three children, two daughters, Kirsten Wouda (27), McKayla Hopkins (25), and a son Bailey Hopkins (23).
