William Humes JFHQ Public Affairs LANSING, Mich. -- Maj. Gen. Greg Vadnais, during a brief ceremony held at the Joint Forces Headquarters in Lansing, Michigan on August 1, 2016. Addelman will report directly to the adjutant general and is responsible for overseeing the IG-related issues of approximately 10,000 members of the Michigan Army National Guard and the Air Guard bases in Selfridge and Battle Creek. Addleman, an active duty Soldier, joins the Michigan Guard staff after completing the U.S. Army War College in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, and serving as a battalion commander in Kuwait. It was his tour in Kuwait that exposed him to the National Guard. “While serving as battalion commander my staff was comprised of members of the North Carolina National Guard who rotated out with members of the Pennsylvania National Guard,” said Addleman. “I could not be more impressed with the performance of those Soldiers and I look forward to the same experience here in Michigan.” 160801-Z-WK092-002 Col.
