Trump today announced the designation of a Presidential Delegation to Monrovia, Liberia to attend Inaugural Ceremonies of President-Elect George Weah on January 22, 2018. The United States is proud to celebrate with the people of Liberia as they mark the country’s first peaceful transfer of power from one democratically elected head of state to another in decades, a major milestone for Liberia’s democracy and for Africa. This Presidential Delegation shall proceed as planned given the importance of our partnership with Africa and our commitment to its continued growth and success. The Honorable Thomas A.
