Brig. Gen. Paul D. Rogers is the next Michigan National Guard Adjutant General

  LANSING, Mich. – Brig. Gen. Paul D. Rogers is named as the next Adjutant General for the Michigan Department of Military and Veterans Affairs by Governor-elect Gretchen Whitmer. “Brig. Gen. Rogers is an outstanding selection, seasoned commander and leader with the experience and background to excel at the position,” current Michigan National Guard Adjutant General, Lt. Gen. Gregory Vadnais, wrote in a message to the command. Rogers has served as the Deputy Commander, 46th Military Police Command since December 2014. Prior to that, he served as the 46th Military Police Command Chief of Staff. His previous command assignments include: Commander of Company C 107th Engineer Battalion, Commander of the 507th Engineer Battalion, Commander of the 177th Regimental Training Institute, and Director of the Joint Staff for the Michigan National Guard. He deployed to Iraq in 2005 as the Battalion Commander of the 507th Engineer Battalion in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Brig. Gen. Rogers commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the Engineer Corps in 1987 through the Michigan Technical University Reserve Officer Training Corps program. He possess a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan Technical University. He also possess a Master of Science in Engineering - Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan, a Master of Science in Strategic Studies from the United States Army War College, and a Doctorate in Mechanical Engineering – Engineering Mechanics from Michigan Technical University. Rogers and his wife Sally have two sons, and one daughter. BG Rogers will be sworn in as the Adjutant General Jan. 1, 2019 in a ceremony at the Michigan State Capitol in Lansing following the inauguration of Governor-elect Gretchen Whitmer.
