Kelly Johnson Joint All-Domain Innovation Center
The Kelly Johnson Joint All-Domain Innovation Center (KJJADIC) is dedicated to fostering a culture of Experimentation and Innovation within the Michigan National Guard. The KJJADIC focuses on supporting the Experimentation and Innovation ecosystem at home and expanding partnerships with our allies and partners in alignment with the National Defense Strategy strategic priorities. The culture and ecosystem of Experimentation and Innovation created by KJJADIC have a positive impact on all Michigan National Guard units and missions, enhancing the training and readiness of Airmen and Soldiers across the air, land, marine, space, and cyber operational domains.

The Michigan National Guard established the KJJADIC on September 11, 2020, leveraging its key strategic relationships and continuing to build successful Innovations with expanding partnerships within Michigan, intergovernmental agencies, the US Department of War (DoW), its allies, alliances, and international partners. The KJJADIC offers Professional Development opportunities, as well as professional-level certifications, through its Academic Industry Military-Hybrid Innovation (AIM-HI) program, in collaboration with the University of Michigan and the Defense Design Studio, in partnership with Duke University.

The KJJADIC promotes the State of Michigan as an Experimentation and Innovation Center of Excellence, showcasing our unique infrastructure and mission offerings (e.g., AI (artificial intelligence), autonomy and automation, command and control, CYBER, drone technologies, space, joint fires, range capacity, and airspace complex). The KJJADIC pursues new and future missions as part of its Experimentation and Innovation efforts. Two exciting 2025 KJJADIC partnerships leading the way in Experimentation and Innovation are with ORAMA Technologies' AI Mixed Reality Close Quarters Battle simulator training and Visto 360's Low Earth Orbit satellite capabilities and 3D Extended Reality applications.
