Survivor Outreach

Mission

The Survivor Outreach Services (SOS) program demonstrates the Army’s commitment to the Families of the Fallen, utilizing a holistic and multi-agency approach to deliver services and support for as long as the Family desires.

Responsibilities and Services

The SOS Support Coordinator serves as the long-term support advocate for Survivors and is responsible for service delivery. Support Coordinators provide, either directly or through appropriate professional resources; support groups, life skills education, assistance in managing applicable life-long benefits transition milestones, and referrals to counseling resources. We support the Surviving Family members of Active Duty, National Guard, Reserve and Retired Service members.
